Lamps & Lighting
3A carved hardwood table lamp. (14in) - This is in the form of a baluster column, finely carved with tapering pointed panels of scrolling, having a concave neck beneath a leaf carved lamp holder. The current bayonet fitting doesn’t appear to be original. It is raised on a circular base and does have a switch. It could probably do with re-wiring. : £20-30 (Lamps & Lighting)
9A pair of crystal drop ceiling lights. (2) - These are 9.75in diameter with three tiers of pointed glass drops suspended from brass rings. The top ring has rope twist decoration to the border and the crystal drops are all triangular and almost all present. This suggests that they are 1930s examples with three tiers of clinking? Crystals and three light fittings beneath tray tops. They hang about 9in deep. : £30-40 (Lamps & Lighting)
64A pair of bone mounted standard lamps. (60in) (2) - A pair of bone mounted standard lamps, with tapering columns applied with brickwork style marquetry raised on sabre legs. (60in) (2) These look as if they are Indian and are probably reproduction. They are made out of mosaic bone fillets and then turned. A lot of work has gone into them and they are decorative items although a bit wobby, they are basically sound. They would make either a pair of tourchers or standard lamps. : £70-90 (Lamps & Lighting)
153A pair of contemporary 1960s spotlights with wall brackets; and a 1960s continental ceiling light with rise and fall mechanism. (3) - The rise and fall mechanism light has ribbed orange glass shade with brass and wood mounts to the column. It supports three candlelights and ceiling rose on a wheel so that the light goes up and down, raised by its own cable. The two spotlights have glass shades and are on hooped brackets with wall mounting lugs. They have chrome mounts with angled lamp holders. They take screw lightbulbs. : £40-60 (Lamps & Lighting)
353Two reproduction brass oil lamps. (20in) (2) - These are by Duplex with white ball glass shades above brass reservoirs on circular bases. They are a decorative pair. One of the glass chimneys to interior appear to be by Veritas. Each appears to have two wicks. They are very similar - a matched pair. : £10-20 (Lamps & Lighting)
612A 1950s chrome and glass plafonnier. - This glass light shade is decorated with pink bands of square panels around a pink ring, with chrome mounts and chrome tube mounted with twin light fitting. It contains the original wiring. It also has a chrome ceiling rose. The glass is perfect. The diameter of the glass is 19in, and the chrome column is also approximately 19in. It doesn’t appear to have a makers name. : £30-40 (Lamps & Lighting)
771A heavy Edwardian walnut standard lamp. (62in) - This tapering column shows fine turning. There are brass mounts ready to take a bayonet fitting. The main shaft is supported on a turned baluster column above a circular stepped base which is on three block feet. A good quality standard lamp, which could do with a bit of re-waxing and polishing. : £20-30 (Lamps & Lighting)
951An oak ratchet standard lamp. - This standard lamp is of peg construction consisting of a square column cut with notches and hand-forged iron mounts. It rises and falls above a further square column, supported on sledge feet and shaped brackets. The peg cross stretcher has further scroll supports and is mounted with a square glass enclosure with baluster bobbin-turned column corners. It is in good condition with good colour, and the rise and fall mechanism works well. : £80-120 (Lamps & Lighting)
