Glass
43Miscellaneous amber glass bowls/entree dishes, etc; and a pale green glass fruitbowl. (5) - : £10-20 (Glass)
61A Greener oval milk glass cow tureen and cover; and an opalescent chicken in basket tureen and cover. (4) - The cow tureen is 7.75in long. The base is embossed in relief with anthemion leaves and stylised scrolling and is raised on an oval base with sixteen feet around a star. It has beaded and lozenge moulding to the rim. The cover, surmounted by a cow on a mound is moulded in relief with foliage and has a stepped and ribbed base. Both pieces are clearly marked with a Greener lion monogram. There are various firing imperfections and there is a sharp feel to the lid. The lid also appears to have a hairline. The other piece is 5.5in long and consists of a basket-weave oval basket with rope twist rim having seated chicken lid, finely moulded with plumage. It is of good opalescent colour, but appears to be unmarked. It is in perfect condition, although a bit grubby. : £40-60 (Glass)
69Eleven glass ‘skitttle’ bottles. (11) - Eleven skittle shaped glass bottles: R Fenwick & Co – Sunderland, two Cameron – West Hartlepool, two Newcastle Breweries, W & S Lucas - Hitchin, two Zephy – North Shields, H Rawson – Edinburgh, a JB bottle, and a Schweppes. (11) : £80-120 (Glass)
131Four pieces of American milk glass. (A lot) - These were purhcased in America and are all moulded with balls. The candlesticks are 6in high. The sucrier and milk jug both have lids with fluted stoppers. The mould marks are visible and all pieces are perfect. : £20-30 (Glass)
135An eighteenth century style wine glass. (5.5in) - This has a funnel shaped bowl engraved with flower on plain tapering column, raised foot and with pontil mark. : £20-30 (Glass)
258A large Edinburgh crystal cut glass bowl. (9in) - : £20-30 (Glass)
336A large quantity of drinking glasses - some boxed. - : £30-40 (Glass)
361Miscellaneous glass including Bristol blue, Sowerby, etc. (A lot) - There is a tall nineteenth century Bristol blue jug that measures 12in high, with a twisted neck and applied handle above a mallet shaped body with pontil mark to base. The side of the body below the handle has an aperture to take ice. It is in good condition with no chips, cracks, etc. There is a pair of engraved bowls, almost like fishbowls, with moulded rims. They are engraved with ferns. There is a 6in hobnail pot and cover which is ground, and a quality thing, with some wear to the base. It is nineteenth century. There is a little trinket pot with lid enamelled with glass canes, as if beaded, with bead and rope twist rim. There is a square pot that is 4in high, but it has a hairline. It has a tapering body with rounded corners and star base. It has a Sowerby peacock mark to the interior. There is an art glass bowl in green and pale blue swirling pattern with gilding to rim. It is in perfect condition and sits on a hollow base which is again part of the vessel. There is wear to the base and a pontil mark. It is 6.5in wide. Finally there is a small decanter and stopper on star base which is a pretty little piece of glass. : £40-60 (Glass)
372A Loetz style art nouveau vase and a pair of yellow and gilt art glass vases. (3) - The art nouveau shaped acid etched glass vase has an almost crocodile skin texture with a lustre colouring iridescence, it has a waved rim, waisted body with three applied twisting tapering columns of glass. It has an indented base with a pontil mark. It is in perfect condition and is 6.5ins high. The two yellow art glasses have bulbous bases and flared necks, made in yellow and white streaked glass, with applied gilt enamelling. Each bun shaped bowl is raised on a moulded foot with a gilt line to the base and a gilt beaded line to the shoulder. The neck has a foliate scrolled frieze and the rims have further gilding decoration. A quality pair of vases, unmarked but in perfect condition. They are 4.75ins high. : £40-60 (Glass)
830A collection of Victorian glass basket vases. (18) - This is a lifetime collection, the vendor having down-sized and moved. Most are of the same type, of quatrefoil rippled flared tapering shape raised on leaf-style supports, with overhanging handles and applied leaf style decoration. Most are perfect, but the odd one has a hairline to the handle. Some have clear pontil marks and are brightly mottled and coloured. Some have twisted handles. Some are white overlay glass. The largest measures 11in tall. An unusual collection. : £100-150 (Glass)
899A Roman style glass jug. (6.25in) - This has gadrooned moulded decoration with a bird to the handle and is executed in an opaque green/purple colour, with a thick foot having pontil mark. : £20-30 (Glass)
900A Greener Grace Darling boat; a carnival glass boat; and a smaller glass floral moulded boat. (3) - The Grace Darling boat has a pink hue to the glass and is moulded with flowerheads and roundels. The keel splits in the middle to form a flat base and joins again at the stern. The stern is moulded with the name Grace Darling on the inside. It is perfect and 11in long. The carnival glass boat is 12in long with a reeded rim above a frieze of square floral medallions. The hull of the boat is also reeded and is resting on an oval keel base. It appears to be in perfect condition with no sharp edges. The third boat is 6.25in long and we presume came from the same factory as it is modelled in the same manner as the Grace Darling boat, only in miniature. It has flowerheads and roundels on the body and the oval keel base. This model is a little bit rougher finish-wise, but there are no apparent chips or breaks. : £80-120 (Glass)
944A French cut Baccarat vase. (7in) - This vase came from the vendor’s family who lived in France. It is cut with a frieze of teardrop shaped large facets above fluted body and is very heavy. There is a flat rim and the base is marked with circular Baccarat France mark, with a decanter and glasses. There is wear to the base, as well as to the interior of the vase. There is a small chip to the top of the rim which would easily grind out. A very heavy nice quality vase. : £80-120 (Glass)
996A glass comport; a Victorian vaseline glass jug and bowl; a Swedish heavy glass vase; and a carnival glass bonbon dish. (5) - : £40-60 (Glass)
1015A pair of glass decanters; and three other decanters. (5) - The pair of decanters are 11.75in high with nine-sided bodies with rings to the necks - both are perfect. In addition there is a heavy square cut decanter, a mallet shaped decanter and a ship style decanter cut with floral decoration. All come complete with stoppers, and appear to be in perfect condition. : £40-60 (Glass)
1019Three mint condition heavy crystal decanters. (3) - The largest at 14in has a John Jenkins label. There is a square heavy decanter with ball stopper and a mallet shaped decanter with star base. All are in perfect condition. : £20-30 (Glass)
1030Miscellaneous art glass - a massive gadrooned red brandy glass, a purple glass with angled handles, a fluted green glass, and a cranberry glass vase. (4) - All pieces are perfect. The brandy glass is 13.75in high. The purple vase has moulded decoration to its twisted gadrooned body with clear glass applied handles. It is a heavy piece, but unmarked. It is 10in high. The green gadrooned glass is unmarked, and made of very thin glass. It is in perfect condition. 8in high. The last vase possibly has been off its column at some stage. It is a ruby baluster shaped vase on a clear baluster stem with a conical foot. At some stage we think it has been off its base. 14.5in high Four large good items of art glass. : £30-40 (Glass)
