Furniture - Chests, Decorative Items, Fireplaces / Fenders etc, Mirrors
633A nineteenth century satin walnut chest of drawers. (36.25in x 20.75in x 30in) - This is generally scuffed and worn, but an honest three drawer chest raised on bracket feet. It has had a certain amount of restoration, with drawer guides replaced and one of the handles doesn’t match the rest, but otherwise it is an honest chest of drawers. : £60-80 (Furniture - Chests)
693A large Victorian mahogany chest of drawers. (48in x 23in x 42.5in) - This large chest has had some alterations, with pine panel sides and pine linings to the drawers. The drawers are mounted with fluted knob handles, which look to be original. There are two short and three long drawers above a shaped apron on bracket feet. There is the odd patch to the veneers and the rectangular top is missing to a few veneers, and the veneer top is bubbling in a few places. It is marked although generally a good colour. The pine sides are stained to match the mahogany. The knobs look to be original and it is a good practical bedroom chest. : £200-300 (Furniture - Chests)
746A bow-fronted walnut compactum. (41.5in x 22in x 59in) - This has been a good quality piece, but it needs refinishing. The top is cross-banded, as are the doors, and it is quarter veneered with assisted burr walnut colour. The interior has drawers and shelves with hanging space. The bow fronted outline is supported on a shaped apron with stub cabriole legs. It has brass hinges. : £50-80 (Furniture - Chests)
19A Victorian mahogany three shelf whatnot. (40in x 16.75in x 40in) - This has three mahogany shelves framed by reeded edges with a moulded front section supported on baluster turned mahogany columns with knob finial, with turned mahogany feet and brass cappings and casters. The finish isn’t brilliant, possibly has had hot/wet things left on the piece. Otherwise it is sound structurally. It just needs repolishing. A good Victorian whatnot. : £150-250 (Furniture - Decorative Items)
68A pair of Georgian style mahogany wig stands. (34.75in) (2) - A pair of Georgian style mahogany wig stands, with circular moulded tray tops supported on bobbin columns, above triangular platforms with two small drawers, with acanthus carved sabre supports around a jug platform, raised on acanthus carved foliate scrolled legs with ball and claw feet. (34.75in) (2) : £150-250 (Furniture - Decorative Items)
1018A nineteenth century rosewood teapoy. (18.5in x 29in) - A nineteenth century rosewood teapoy, with circular top revealing an interior with twin lidded compartments, the waisted box with applied roundel decoration supported on tapering turned column, with tripartite scroll carved legs. The circular top is cracked, but the rosewood is good colour. A couple of the balls round the waisted body are missing. It would make an excellent occasional table. (18.5in x 29in) : £200-300 (Furniture - Decorative Items)
1020A Victorian pine chimney piece. (47in x 52in) - This has a rectangular mantelpiece with a channeled edge above a panelled frieze beneath a moulding. The fireplace aperature again is moulded and framed by reeding. The aperature is 28.25in x 40.25in. It is dirty and dusty and although it has been stripped, it has a water mark across the frieze. A good salvage piece, but needs repolishing. : £40-60 (Furniture - Fireplaces, fenders, etc)
274A Venetian style mirror. (47.5in x 23.5in) - A Venetian style mirror, the rectangular bevelled plate framed by angled borders decorated with foliate cutting, with scrolled pierced crest, the plates mounted with fluted glass buttons. (47.5in x 23.5in) : £100-150 (Furniture - Mirrors)
961A rectangular scalloped stained mirror; and a gilt framed floral Albert Williams print. (2) - The rectangular scalloped hall mirror is in a stained frame that could be walnut? It doesn’t appear to be very old, and it has a plywood back. It can be hung both portrait or landscape shaped, with hooks on the back. The plate is 29in x 14in. The Albert Williams print is a still life of a basket of flowers. It is mounted with the title ‘Iris, Narcissi and Roses’ in a cut-out window. It is in a contemporary gilt frame. It measures 11.25in x 15in. : £20-30 (Furniture - Mirrors)
104A pair of nineteenth century mirrors. (15.75in x 20.5in) (2) - A pair of nineteenth century mirrors, the oval bevelled plates bordered by roundels, fitted with circular brackets holding glass bowls, with applied prunt decoration with scrolled rims, the mirrors with green velvet borders - possibly Irish. (15.75in x 20.5in exterior) (2) : £100-150 (Mirrors)
