312A European marble top walnut washstand. (39.75in x 19in x 30in) - This has a slate top, which is possibly not original, as it has one end that is not polished. It has two frieze drawers above two panelled cupboard doors flanked by applied carvings. It is raised on turned feet. The drawers are oak lined. 396A 1950s mahogany flame veneered sideboard. (54.5in x 22in x 40in) - This is of breakfront outline with three frieze drawers above three cupboards. The frieze drawers have baize lining. It has a shaped upstand to the top. It is supported on heavy stub cabriole legs. The doors have applied scroll carving. The top needs repolishing, but it is a good quality cabinet with excellent colour to the front. : £70-90 (Furniture)
417A nineteenth century mahogany framed sofa. (52in) - This is covered in celery green linen material with turned ribbed tapering legs. It has sprung seat and padded upholstered back and curved arms and sides. The linen cover seems to be a taylored loose cover, with other upholstery underneath. 419A nineteenth century satin walnut wardrobe. (45in x 19.75in x 77in) - This is a good clean wardrobe with a moulded ogee cornice, above an arched bevelled mirror door, enclosing hanging space. The door is flanked by two vase carved panels with a long drawer below, mounted with brass-plate handles above a plinth. The plinth is generally scuffed, but otherwise it is in good, clean original finish. : £100-150 (Furniture)
429A late Victorian art nouveau suite. (3) - All the pieces are covered in fawn velour done by the current vendors. It consists of a chaise with stuff-over upholstered back rail supported on slender spindles, with cart rest and channelled rail raised on turned legs. The casters are later. There is a matching armchair and ladies chair with similarly carved back rails and fluted style backs and sprung seats raised on turned legs with later casters. The upholstery is a bit tired, and at some stage they have been ‘restored’. : £200-300 (Furniture)
435A nineteenth century ebonised cabinet on stand. (23.75in x 16in x 46.25in) * Formerly at Ickworth House, the property of the Marquis of Bath. - Ebonised cabinet on stand with panelled doors enclosing an interior with small drawers around an architectural style door with broken pediment and barleytwist columns, above a niche with silver plated figure of Bacchus, the door enclosing further small drawers with secret drawer plinth, the later ebonised stand on square tapering legs. Some of the veneers are missing, and a bit marked with punches. Doors are cracked, but there is a good interior. The stand is definitely later, and appears to be pine. The sides are also cracked. Some of the veneers are missing. * Formerly at Ickworth House, the property of the Marquis of Bath : £600-800 (Furniture)
450An Edwardian mahogany inlaid mirror door wardrobe. (52in x 21.5in x 84in) - Alas the cornice has been cut to the top of this wardrobe on the left hand side. It has an inlaid frieze of floral medallions, framed by boxwood stringing with satinwood banding. There is a large wide bevelled mirror door flanked by inlaid panels with oval flamed veneer central panels all framed by satinwood banding. It sits above a base with long drawer above a shaped apron. A good quality Edwardian wardrobe, and clean, apart from general scuffing. : £150-250 (Furniture)
499An Edwardian mahogany dressing table. (37.75in x 20in x 64in) - This has an oval mirror supported on fluted columns with urn shaped turned finials. The dressing table is of serpentinre front outline with reeded top above two drawers mounted with plate handles. It is supported on square tapering legs with spade feet. It is of good quality with mahogany lining but does need refinishing, as it is slightly scuffed and generally worn. : £70-90 (Furniture)
506A reproduction mahogany davenport. (21.5in x 22in x 33.75in) - A reproduction mahogany davenport, with rectangular compartment to top above an angled writing surface set with green leather gilt tooled skiver, enclosing an interior with small knobbed drawers, the desk with four knobbed drawers to each side, supported on sabre legs with fluted turned feet. (21.5in x 22in x 33.75in) A reproduction good quality davenport with a green gilt tooled leather skiver. The interior has a bank of eight small drawers. It is not old but is a little scuffed and needs repolishing but otherwise is a sound piece of nineteenth century style furniture with drawers to the sides. The top drawer has lost its turned knob. 525A small oak table; and an oak book rack. (2) - The oval oak table is raised on turned legs and is not particularly old. It is scalloped in semi-circular form to go against a wall. The oak book carrier, or table bookcase, looks a bit homemade. It is oak with brass screws. : £10-20 (Furniture)
550A reproduction break-front mahogany sideboard. (60.25in x 18in x 35.5in) - This is a good quality piece of reproduction furniture made up with flame veneer and crossbanded moulded top above four frieze drawers with cupboards below enclosing adjustable shelves, supported on shaped bracket feet. It is a good clean sideboard, but does exhibit wear/heat marks to the top. It has elegant break-front proportions with brass hinges to the doors etc. There is one repair to one corner of the top on a bit of the moulding. : £100-150 (Furniture)
561A Victorian walnut break-front mirror back inlaid sideboard. (60in x 15in x 78.5in) - This has a back with central arched bevelled plate (which is a bit marked) flanked by two oval plates to the sides having marquetry spandrels with applied split baluster mouldings. The side oval mirrors each have rectangular shelves supported on shaped brackets. The base has a break-front outline with a central marble slab flanked by moulded pedestal cupboards and panelled drawers above mirrored doors. The base has similar foliate urn marquetry and the corners have turned columns. It sits on a break-front plinth with rounded corners. It is good quality, but needs restoration. : £200-300 (Furniture)
590A white painted upholstered childs chair. - This childs chair has button upholstery with leatherette back and seat. It has white painted platform arms and square tapering column legs. It is of no great age. : £5-10 (Furniture)
647Two “school” trunks and a tin deed box. (3) - The first school trunk is blue with brass mounts and leather carrying handles to the ends. It is 36ins long. The second school trunk has leather corners and wooden battens with brass mounts having leather carrying handles to the ends, and has canvas lining to the interior. The tin trunk has a Milners of Liverpool brass lock and a green interior, and Milners, Liverpool stamped to the carrying handles either side. The lock appears to work and the key is also stamped Milners. : £30-40 (Furniture)
661A reproduction pine wardrobe and chest of drawers. (2) - These are Victorian style pieces. The wardrobe has moulded cornice above panelled doors enclosing hanging space, above a base with drawer on plinth. The chest of drawers has a rectangular rounded moulded top above two short and two long drawers mounted with knob handles, on a plinth. They are substantial quality pieces of reproduction pine. : £100-150 (Furniture)
703A Victorian walnut handpainted three-fold screen with Northumberland Castles. (66in) - This nineteenth century screen is in burr walnut with arched panels enclosing canvas. One side is decorated with art nouveau floral borders on a green ground. The top is handpainted with acanthus swags and scrolling with pink and blue floral decoration. Each panel is centred on an oval depicting Warkworth, Dunstanburgh and Alnwick castles in gilded borders. The slips to the canvas panels look as if fhey have been gilded at some stage. The hinges have been changed. The back of the canvas is painted with naturalistic scenes of herons and cranes on lake edge with bulrushes, weeds and further vegetation. The panels do not appear to be signed. t : £100-150 (Furniture)
717A Chippendale style mahogany display cabinet. (39.75in x 17in x 87in) - A Chippendale style mahogany display cabinet, the moulded swan-neck pediment with carved roundels flanking a turned column finial, mounted on a fretwork decorated panel with leaf carved frieze, above two long astragal glazed doors enclosing shelves, with glass sides, supported on a stand with shell carved scrolled apron, raised on ball and claw feet. 735A Victorian walnut corner cabinet. (23.25in x 55.25in) - This is a pretty little piece of late Victorian furniture of good quality. The corner back has a shelf framed by pierced corner bevelled mirror panels suported by similarly shaped pierced spandrels. The platform top is above a reeded frieze and has two open compartments. The top compartment has central finely turned spindle. The compartments all have shaped pierced fretwork cut spandrels and are supported on fluted stile feet. The back is original, with a bit of wear to the top, but the colours are good. There are a few ring marks to the shelves, and a bit of general scuffing. : £100-150 (Furniture)
765A reproduction pine kitchen table. (60in x 41.5in x 30.75in) - This is quite a substantial table, the rectangular top with tapering edge and rounded corners. It has a plain frieze raised on bulbous turned tapering legs. Colourwise, it is a bit yellowy/polyurethane, but could be stripped and repolished. It came from a house in Scotland. : £100-150 (Furniture)
768A reproduction mahogany cabinet. (34in x 17.75in x 15in) - This is not particularly old with brass plate handles. It is reasonable good quality with satinwood cross banding framed by boxwood and ebony stringing. It has a rectangular top above a fall front drawer supported on a plinth, above a shaped apron and raised on stub cabriole legs. Of no great age. : £20-30 (Furniture)

782A large Victorian mahogany counter cabinet. (118in x 23.25in x 8in) - This is a Victorian mahogany cased display cabinet with four glazed sections under cushion mouldings all supported on a moulded plinth. It is all brass screwed and sound and the back doors, which open downwards are mirrored. It is generally scuffed. The glass isn’t broken, but the glass is fairly badly worn and scratched and is dirty. The bottom has been replaced at some stage with plywood. It looks as if it had a material lining. It seems sound and would restore well. : £80-120 (Furniture)
788An Edwardian walnut cabinet. (35.5in x 16.5in x 34.75in) - A late Victorian/Edwardian walnut cabinet, with rectangular reeded top above long frieze drawer, having reeded cupboards below, supported on bracket feet. (35.5in x 16.5in x 34.75in) This cabinet has obviously had a bookcase or glazed top on it as there are two holes on the top. The rectangular moulded top has a long frieze drawer below mounted with pierced plate handles. This is all mahogany lined. The bottom of the drawer is marked with a drawer stop on the right hand side. The drawer has the original lock. Below the drawer are two panelled cupboards but the lock is absent. The left hand door closes on two brass bolts. The panels, rails and stiles are all reeded and the doors have brass hinges. The door knob is not original. The piece is supports on a plinth with bracket feet which all look to be original. Circa 1890. It has a boarded back. There is a Dorking store label on the back. : £100-150 (Furniture)
819A Victorian carved oak occasional table. (15.75in x 16in x 23.75in) - This is of excellent colour. The top has foliate leaf frieze around chevron chiselled band centring on a fruit medallion. The rectangular moulded top is raised on bobbin and ring turned splayed legs with shaped stretchers joining the legs. A good sturdy table, it looks as if it has been refinished at some stage. : £80-120 (Furniture)
833A large Georgian style mahogany oval dressing table mirror. (25.75in high) - This is in a cushion moulded frame with shaped tapering scroll supports and a channelled shaped stretcher with splayed legs. It is generally in good condition although the retainers don’t appear to be originial, one is a wood screw! The frame is generally scuffed and could do with a repolish. : £30-40 (Furniture)
858An American style mahogany chest of drawers. (37.75in x 20in x 35.25in) - A reproduction American style mahogany chest of drawers, with rectangular moulded top above a long drawer carved with shells, with three moulded drawers below mounted with brass plate handles, supported on rippled moulding with ogee bracket feet.In good condition with nice brass handles. Good colour, bit scratched on the top, but a nice functional chest. (37.75in x 20in x 35.25in) : £300-500 (Furniture)
885A Georgian mahogany commode - with later alterations. (24in x 20in x 32in) - This commode originally had two doors above a chamber. It is inlaid with ebony stringing and is of good colour although very scuffed. It is mounted with brass roundel handles with two dummy drawers above a shaped apron with boxwood and ebony stringing, with swept bracket feet. At some stage it has been converted to a booze cabinet, with a baize lining. The fall-front is cracked and needs repairing. The bottom half behind the dummy drawers is fitted with divisions to take bottles. It has a pine back. : £100-150 (Furniture)
896A nineteenth century mahogany Hepplewhite style elbow chair. - This I would suggest is a turn of the century chair, a copy of an eighteenth century pattern. It has good provenance. It has a pierced fan-shaped splat with foliate carving interlaced with two similar shaped ovals forming a shield with channelled edges. The arms have acanthus carved terminals, and tapering shaped supports carved with harebells. There is a stuff-over upholstered seat raised on square tapering channelled legs joined by rectangular stretchers. The seat upholstery is distressed and the back has been repaired and has a bit of ‘give’ in it. It has been a very good quality chair, but it does need ‘work’. : £100-150 (Furniture)
927A nineteenth century oak bureau bookcase - a marriage. (44.5in x 23in x 91in) - The top of this has a moulded dentil cornice above a chisel carved frieze, having astragal glazed doors enclosing adjustable shelves. It is later than the bottom, with a tongue and groove plank back that extends beyond the bureau. The bureau itself is a good large country piece from the early nineteenth century, with a cleated fall-front mounted with brass escutcheon supported on lopers, with a red leather skiver writing surface and an interior with small drawers and pigeonholes. Below the bureau are four long graduated drawers mounted with brass plate handles, and it is raised on bracket feet. In general the oak is of good colour, and it is a big bureau, and came out of an old mill. : £300-500 (Furniture)
939An oak framed sewing machine. - This is on a cast iron base with treadle and pierced ends with gilt decoration to machine. The folding oak table has two small drawers. A solid good turn of the century sewing machine. The drawers contain buttons and threads, the central compartment having drop down front. The machine is numbered 4252815 on a brass plate. : £20-30 (Furniture)
950A large upholstered three seater sofa. - This sofa is in good condition with loose cushions and padded arms and back. It is not that old, and it is raised on turned bun feet. It is upholstered in heraldic style medieval fabric. : £100-150 (Furniture)
952A Georgian style painted corner cupboard. (42in x 25in x 81in) - This is decorated with chisel carved lozenges having moulded cornice above arched panelled doors, framed by similar rippled lozenge moulding, with two panelled doors below. It’s on bracket feet with canted corners. It is green scumble painted with rubbed finish, on what looks to be a cream ground. The doors appear to be a bit warped and are not closing properly. 959A reproduction mahogany sideboard. (54.5in x 18in x 30in) - This is a good clean mahogany sideboard with rectangular moulded top and three frieze drawers, one with baize lining above three cupboard doors. The door and drawers are all decorated with cross-banding framed by boxwood and ebony stringing. It is on a moulded plinth with bracket feet. The cabinet is mounted with brass handles. : £80-120 (Furniture)

970A large nineteenth century walnut combination wardrobe. (87in x 25in x 83in) - This has a moulded dentil cornice above a central panelled door with bevelled mirror. To the sides are fielded panelled cupboards with further square panelling below. The right hand side contains two drawers. The mirrored left hand door opens to reveal hanging space. It has been botched around a bit, with various boards missing, and it stands on a plinth. The back is new. It takes quite a bit of fitting together. : £300-500 (Furniture)
976An Edwardian mahogany boxwood strung upholstered sofa. (48in) - This formal piece of drawing room furniture has a tall upholstered back and upholstered arms, the mahogany inlaid with boxwood stringing. It is on plain square tapering legs with brass cappings and pot casters, with a sprung sofa-like seat. An elegant piece of Edwardian furniture. : £100-150 (Furniture)
