Ceramics: Beleek, Beswick, Clarice Cliff, Coalport,
Devon, Doulton, Moorcroft & Masons
906A Beswick cow vase, and three other cow creamers jugs. (4) - The Beswick cow vase has an open back and is decorated wtih floral sprigs. It looks like a creamer, but is a vase. It is an amusingly modelled cow, printed with the Beswick England marks and is perfect. Of the three creamers, there is a blue example by Burgess & Leigh and is decorated with a floral chintz pattern. The cow appears to be seated. He lacks his lid. There is another polychrome example, which is unmarked, but would suggest circa 1900. The tail of this one has been repaired, but its cover is intact, as are its gilded horns. The last creamer is in a brown running glaze with gilded tail and horns. It lacks a cover and there is slight rubbing to the gilding, but otherwise it appears to be perfect. There is no makers name. It sits on a rectangular rounded plinth. : £30-40 (Ceramics - Beswick)
371A Royal Doulton George V blue stoneware flagon and stopper. (11in) - This ovoid bottle shaped decanter has applied loop handle to the shoulder and has a ribbed base. It has applied circular panel moulded in relief as a bust of King George V with a title below. The stopper is in ball form with a cork. The base is impressed with Royal Doulton marks and number 21504 and Made in England marks. It is in good clean condition. : £30-40 (Ceramics - Doulton)
810A Royal Doulton Enchantment pattern extensive dinner/tea service. (74) - This service is from a 1984 design called Enchantment with gilded rims, pink flowers and black scrolled borders - TC1156. : £100-150 (Ceramics - Doulton)
982An extensive Masons Ironstone gilded dinner service. (A lot) - This is quite an extensive set and came from a large country house. It consists of a graduated set of six ashets, twenty-four dinner plates, two large tureens and covers, a small soup tureen with ladle on standish, another small lidded tureen, six soup bowls, eight saucers, twelve side dishes, all pieces are printed with Mason’s mark in black and are impressed with numbers and monograms. Some are painted with the number C3375. Others seem to be impressed with the numbers 3535. They are all in sound condition. Only damage that we can find is that one of the soup bowls has a broken handle, and one of the ashets is slightly stained/crazed. They are decorated with gilded asiatic birds on an ivory ground with gilt acanthus scrolled rims with gadrooning. : £200-300 (Ceramics - Masons)
323A Moorcroft bowl. (4.5ins) - This old Moorcroft bowl is decorated with yellow and pink flowers, and has green leaves on the cobalt blue ground. It has tube-lined decoration and is raised on a socle type foot. It has impressed Moorcroft marks and Made in England mark, although the base marking has been chipped. The bowl itself is intact and perfect. : £60-80 (Ceramics - Moorcroft)
