1201A Queen Anne-style walnut lowboy. (33.75in x 20.75in x 31in) - The vendor of this piece bought it as a period over fifty years ago. It has a quarter veneered top with cross banding above a moulded edge with "baby bottom" corners. It has a long drawer above a shaped arch with two flanking square drawers. The drawers all have further banding with brass drop handles supported on baluster turned tapering legs joined by wave shaped stretchers with turned bun feet. The corners are canted. It has oak lining to the drawers which are framed by rounded mouldings. Knowing the provenance of this piece it certainly looks period, but other elements suggest Victorian copy? It has a good mellow walnut colour. : £80-120
