487A carved Eastern kris dagger. (20.5in) - The handle is carved in hardwood, with foliate decoration with a leaf border above the knife. The knife has a very sharp blade and has damascene-like decoration to the steel. It fits well into a tapering sheath, which looks as if it is carved out of walnut. The collar between the handle and the blade looks as if it is copper with beaded decoration. There is rope bound around the edge of the sheath. It looks as if there are later initials carved in the back of it. : £50-80

They are from the Manchester City Art Gallery edition titled the Organ Grinder and Waiting for the Shop to Open, 1934 and 1940. The third is titled Coming Home from the Mill, in a similar gilt frame. : £40-60

497A Victorian mahogany rise and fall piano stool. - This has a circular padded cut moquette seat, revolving on a fluted balustered turning mechanism which appears to have lost its nut and is not actually working. It's raised on three scroll carved feet. The stool is in it's orginal finish and untouched and unadulterated. : £80-120

499An Edwardian mahogany dressing table. (37.75in x 20in x 64in) - This has an oval mirror supported on fluted columns with urn shaped turned finials. The dressing table is of serpentinre front outline with reeded top above two drawers mounted with plate handles. It is supported on square tapering legs with spade feet. It is of good quality with mahogany lining but does need refinishing, as it is slightly scuffed and generally worn. : £70-90

505A reproduction mahogany twin pedestal dining table with spare leaf. - This has been an expensive table and came out of a house in Gosforth. It is stamped underneath 1360. The column is a little bit sticky and stained but it has shiny brass cappings and casters. The tapering barrel column has a ring. There are slight veneer chips to the edge of the table. The top is a good dark colour and it isn't crossbanded. It has a gilt and red Reprodux Devon Funnel Ltd New Haven England Made By. The locking hinges have brass cappings and brass mounts. The table stop is also stamped to the underside 1360. : £100-150
506A reproduction mahogany davenport. (21.5in x 22in x 33.75in) - A reproduction mahogany davenport, with rectangular compartment to top above an angled writing surface set with green leather gilt tooled skiver, enclosing an interior with small knobbed drawers, the desk with four knobbed drawers to each side, supported on sabre legs with fluted turned feet. (21.5in x 22in x 33.75in) A reproduction good quality davenport with a green gilt tooled leather skiver. The interior has a bank of eight small drawers. It is not old but is a little scuffed and needs repolishing but otherwise is a sound piece of nineteenth century style furniture with drawers to the sides. The top drawer has lost its turned knob. It has drawers to both sides. : £200-300

508A mahogany two division cutlery box; a painted wood box; and a floral papier mâché painted box. (3) - : £20-30
509Two gold early nineteenth century memorial brooches. (2) - The largest of these two is bow shaped and is borded with pearls around a glass panel framing woven hair, it has a hinged pin to the verso and is engraved at the back with presentation details underneath the hinged pin, 1.25in wide. The other smaller example is just over .75in and has an ebonised enamel foliate scroll border framing a rectangular panel of woven hair, engraved Isabel Craster, 1831 aged 72. : £150-250
510A1950s ladies gilt metal combination cigarette case, purse, compact, mirror and lipstick; and an unused Stratton boxed compact. (2) - The dress cigarette case compact doesn't have a makers name, but is in a brass case mounted with black fabric with gilt tooling. There is slight wear, but generally perfect. The Stratton compact is unused and in its original box with instructions and cloth case. : £10-20

512A mahogany Empire style writing table. (27.5in x 61in x 29.5in) - This is a nice desk and impressive piece with a good leather top, trimmed edge, etc. The lion standards supporting the desk which has two opposing dummy drawers almost look French. We don't think particularly old.A Napoleonic style writing table, with gilt tooled leather top within gadroon carved rim, with two real drawers opposing dummy drawers to frieze, having acanthus carved corners, the desk supported on twin lion caryatid columns flanking pierced foliate carved fretwork, above platforms with gadrooned rims, the supports joined by acanthus carved shaped rectangular stretcher. (27.5in x 61in x 29.5in) : £600-800
513A chrome elephant lighter; a deco bottle lighter; a 1950s submarine ashtray; and a ceramic novelty cat table lamp lighter. (4) - : £80-120
514Two John Constable coloured landscape prints; and a Copley Fielding coloured mezzotint. (3) - This lot came from Durham County Council Schools and Museum Service, as surplus to their requirements. The Copley Fielding is titled 'Calais' and has a William Dodds gallery label to the verso. It is a good clean image engraved by Will Henderson and depicts boats by a quayside in sunset, and has a 1929 publishers title above the image reading Liverpool, published by The Gainsborough Galleries Ltd, copyright 1929. It is mounted and oak framed. It is a good colour image about 11in x 8.25in. The first coloured Constable print is fairly loosely done and is titled 'Landscape Study'. It has a grey mount and a painted white frame. It is 6.75in x 8.25in. The other Constable print is titled to verso 'Hadleigh Castle' and is oak framed with charcoal grey mount. It depicts windswept coastline with ruin and figure with dog. It is 14.5in x 10.75in. : £50-80
515A large 7carat oval sapphire ring surrounded by diamonds in 18k white gold. - This large oval faceted sapphire measures just over 12mm long and is of a good deep blue colour, but is fairly opaque. It is claw set and surrounded by a circle of round cut diamonds, with further round cut diamonds mounted to the 'V' shaped shoulders of the ring. A beautiful piece. : £600-800
516A set of fifteen beech 24in square stools. (15) - : £100-150
517A small William IV breakfast table. (40in x 40in x 29in) - This is a circular breakfast table in its original finish, and we think on its original stand. It has a circular moulded top with a plain frieze, and is mounted on tapering eight-sided column above a moulded collar with a triangular waisted base supported on bun feet with casters. It is all in its original finish and is attractive. The correct clips have been replaced, with a new stretcher on the underneath. There are some missing veneers to the corners of the rectangular base. A good sound table. : £300-500

524A floating double heart diamond pendant on fine 9k white gold chain. - The pendant consists of two graduated heart outlines set with diamonds, the smaller heart has a floating round diamond set within the centre of the heart, the larger heart is cut out in the centre. They are mounted on a channel ring set with four baguette diamonds and this is all strung through a fine white gold chain. Both the pendant and the chain are fully hallmarked. : £100-200
525A small oak table; and an oak book rack. (2) - The oval oak table is raised on turned legs and is not particularly old. It is scalloped in semi-circular form to go against a wall. The oak book carrier, or table bookcase, looks a bit homemade. It is oak with brass screws. : £10-20

527A large nineteenth century painted chimney piece. (73.5in x 54in external) - This has acanthus scrolling, egg and dart as well as leaf ?? decorations, lozenge beading. It has all applied gesso and generally it seems to be all present and covered in sticky gloss. : £300-500
